Life is all about balance. The trick is to find balance between work, life – your lifestyle -your personal life as well as at home, especially being a working mom with a busy toddler and a new baby on the way. The last thing you need  is to stress about  your wardrobe TOO.

Well…Elizabeth, the beautiful mommy and founder of Mumu and Me, and I decided to illustrate a few easy ways to use a basic LBD ( Little Black Dress to its maximum.)We will illustrate how a simple LBD can be dressed up – for when you running around at the office or how to dress it down when you relaxing at home with your family. As a preggy  working mom, its very difficult to find a FRESH look in a very limited closet, especially living in Bloemfontein where we do not really have maternity wear readily available ( we hope this will change soon ) but for now we have to improvise and make the best out of our situation.

It should really not be that difficult to look your utmost best with what you already have in your closet, even if its limited. If you lucky enough you can play around with some of your “non preggy” clothing – if not, you do not have to spend an arm and a leg to dress that belly.I do understand that in some situations some of us grow a little more then others but this should not stop you at all. All you have to do is improvise a little.

Here I am celebrating my 30 weeks of being pregnant with one of my favourite preggy clothing items – my super comfy affordable stretchy Little Black Dress.

When I need a more comfy / casual look I pair my LBD with my most fave converse sneakers, having to run after my busy two and a half year old toddler, Skylin.

When going to work I put on my super sexy working heels accompanied by great accessories, and I’m ready for action.

For a semi formal look, when meeting friends after work, I simply slip into my sandals of choice and a “must have jean jacket.”

For a more chic look –  all black with a bit of leather for a busy day or evening out with my girlfriends or hubby.

And for those icy cold days – a formal coat.

So mommies -to – be don’t let your belly stop you from feeling fresh, sexy, vibrant and most importantly, YOU. Find your balance in your style and experiment with fresh new looks to dress your belly.

Till next time…….
